Purpose

For adjusting the pH of Hydroponic solutions when they are found to be low.

Instructions

1.Always double check the pH of your nutrient media carefully so that you are confident of the result.

2.Confirm with pH buffers that your pH meter is reading correctly. Do not guess!

3.If the pH is low then Plasma pH Up can be used to adjust the pH back up to the desired level.

4.Always use with caution.  It is not easy to estimate the necessary addition of Plasma pH Up to your nutrient media as considerations such as volume, the time it will take to reach homogeneity through circulation of the media and the buffering effect of your particular nutrient brew will all impact on the result.

5.Cautiously begin adding Plasma pH Up at no more than 1 Litre for every 1000 Litres of your nutrient media.

6.Allow plenty of time for the nutrient media to reach equilibrium after each addition and then check the pH again.

7.Often there will be little change at first but do not be fooled into adding larger quantities as the pH change is likely to move quite quickly once the buffer point is reached.

8.Patience is the key to success.

9.Plasma pH Up is a caustic solution containing Potassium Hydroxide.  Wear appropriate PPE to ensure you do not get it on your skin or in your eyes.  It will chemically burn skin and soft tissues such as eyes.  For any skin or eye contact, wash it off skin immediately with water and irrigate eyes with copious amounts of water.

10.Upon completion of the pH adjustment exercise clean up site of any spillages by washing down with water and store the remaining Plasma pH Up in a secure chemical storage location.

PLASMA K-PHOS™ enhances soil structure and plant growth. It combines high concentrations of phosphorus and potassium in a liquid form suitable for direct foliar feed spray application to pasture or crops.

PHOSPHORUS is an essential element in all functions of plant growth, from energy transfer within plants through to DNA/Chromosome structure within each cell.

Phosphorus plays a vital role in root development and vitamin content of plants.

POTASSIUM is valuable in promoting the general vigour of the plant. Potassium activates enzymes including those that make protein, and potassium is a vital “turn key” in making many important cell constituents. It also helps the plant to build a natural resistance to disease and has a balancing influence upon other plant nutrients.

As with Phosphorus – supplying Potassium direct to the plant via foliar feeding ensures a more effective means of getting the nutrients to become immediately plant available.

PLASMA K-PHOS™ is totally liquid soluble. This means that its P205 is used 100% by plants and micro-organisms.

APPLICATION RATES

Average application rate suggested at 6-8 litres per acre (15-20L per Hectare) depending on soil and plant status or as recommended.

GROUND APPLICATION

Amount of water required is dependent on the calibration of the delivery system. Typical dilution – 150 litres of water per hectare (60 litres per acre). Mixed with desired amount of product.

AERIAL APPLICATION

1 part product to 1 part water.

Stir contents before use

Caution: Avoid contact with skin or eyes. If skin or eye contact results, wash with clean water.

Flush out all spray lines, pumps and tanks each day when finished.

NB: Due to the nature of this product, crystallization may occur under cold climatic conditions.
